| Notes about the Church | The origins of the Watton Primitive Methodist Circuit and, in particular the registers utilised, are a little obscure. Whilst these register are catalogued as being from the Watton Circuit, a sub-circuit of Attleborough & Wymondham Circuit, many of the earliest entries appear to relate to a circuit based upon the Suffolk town of Brandon and covering a wide area of northwestern Suffolk and adjacent Cambridgeshire. Whilst the Watton area also features strongly, as well as much of southwestern Norfolk it is likely this circuit should best be described at being the Brandon & Watton Primitive Methodist Circuit. Entries cover two registers, deposits FC107/4 & FC107/5 in the collection of Norfolk Record Office which are filmed on Microfilm MF1731. |
