Notes about the Church	There were several Baptist congregations within the city of Norwich, that documented here was a small one situated within the Anglican parish of St Margaret which was founded in the mid-18th century. In common with other non-conformist congregations the register transcribed here was deposited with The National Archives following legislation invoked in 1837. The register is held as RG4/1785 in collection of The National Archives and Norfolk Record Office has a copy on film MF1155, in addition digitised images are available online on the major subscription sites.
