| Register notes : | Re Marriages---The first page of PR/28/1 has this note ;- "The following marriages may have taken place at Attercliffe, although the church was not licensed for marriages until 1849.Some of the entries appear in the registers of SS Peter & Paul, Sheffield, but the dates and names differ in some cases" Baptisms June-December 1761 are missing. PR 28/14 Burials: - Page 30 is partly completed, thence Page 31 is blank. - Page 32 is then hand-amended to be Page 30 with the Register Numbers hand amended to be those on the original Page 30 (with the original entries on Page 30 duplicated on Page 32, then the entries continue to the end of the page with additional entries beyond the original Page 30). - The amended page numbers and amended Register Numbers then continues through to Page 37 (amended to 35). - The amended page numbers continue from Page 38 (amended to 36) through to Page 43 (amended to 41) but the Register Numbers are not amended. - Page 44 onwards continue without any amendment of either page numbers or Register Numbers. PR28-15 Burials: This book has duplicate page numbers. This is denoted by suffix A or B. PR28-15-A 21 Nov 1827 - 15 Jul 1845 pages 1-300, PR28-15-B 15 Jul 1845 - 31 Dec 1851 pages 1-100. - Within PR 28/15/B, there are 4 pages of burials for 1832 that were for a "specially appropriated Burial ground (for Cholera subjects)" for which "The Entries are made in this Register because there was no Book at the Cholera Burial Ground". |
