| Notes about the Church | This small congregation in the market town of Thetford was founded in 1816 with a chapel erected in Earl's Lane a year later. Today this congregation is the United Reformed Church. Two registers survive for this congregation, the first was surrendered in 1837 and runs from 1822 (it is deposited with The National Archives with a copy film at Norfolk Record Office - Microfilm MF1156), a second register was then begun and this duplicates the first register and then runs to 1848 and is deposited with Norfolk Record Office, it is filmed on Microfilm MF1729. |
