| Notes about the Church | St Philip's ecclesiastical parish was formed in 1900 from part of Christ Church parish. The church, in Beeches Road, was erected in 1898-9. St Philip's church was a structure of red brick and terra cotta dressings, in a modified Gothic style, designed by Wood & Kendrick, architects of West Bromwich, consisting of a chancel, nave, aisles, mourning chapel, organ chamber and vestries. |
