Notes about the Church All Saints was the primary church in the ancient parish of Epping. Under the Epping Church Act (1888) the chapel of St John the Baptist in the town became the parish church of Epping and the church of All Saints a chapel-of-ease. In 1912 the parish was split into two. The urban part remained as the parish of St John, Epping, while the remainder became the parish of All Saints, Epping Upland. Duplicate entries can be found in the registers of both churches in the early 1800s.
