| Notes about the Church | St George's church, erected in 1875 from the designs of Robert Griffiths of Stafford, was a building of stone in the Early English style and consisted of a chancel, nave, aisles, and south porch. Services ceased in 1964 due to the dangerous state of the building and St George's was demolished in December 1964 and the parish abolished. |
