FreeREG logo Obtaining the approval of The Church of Englland.

In some cases it may be neccessary to approach the authorities within the Church of England; either the Archdeacon or a parish Vicar for explicit approval to transcribe their registers. The executive has been working to develop an appropriate letter to use with them. It is suggested you contact the Country Coordinator for a copy of the latest letter.

An example of the type of approval we have received is shown for Pershore.
