The FreeREG Essex Transcription team have now added 91 795 records, an increase of 9 289 in the last month. On 17 Jan 2010 there were 45 634 baptisms, 9 338 marriages and 36 823 burials) in the database. A really really big thank you to all of our volunteer transcribers, converters and contributors. We have permission from the Essex Records Office and the National Archives to use their images. We can use the images online at the SEAX website which can be worked on in the comfort of your home.

• General County Information is available on the Essex Genuki web pages including information on the location of the original registers.

  ATs are copies of registers sent to the bishop each year - they are generally patchy with missing years.
