Welcome to the home of U.K. Parish Register Information. |
Our objective is to provide
free Internet searches of baptism, marriage, and burial records, that have
been transcribed from parish and non-conformist registers of the U.K.
FreeREG is a companion project to FreeBMD
(a database of the GRO birth, marriage and death indexes from 1837)
and FreeCEN
(a database of census information).
We are in URGENT need
of volunteers willing to undertake the transcription of registers or
make available their own transcriptions. (Follow the link to
contributing to the project.) for information on how to participate.
The FreeREG database contains 892,733 Marriages, 3,100,124 Baptisms, 1,560,357 Burials, and was last updated on Fri 29 Aug 2008
On Sun 7 Sep 2008 FreeREG users did 23,526 searches. (Details)
